OUR LADY OF TAHOE PARISH MISSION STATEMENT
As disciples of Jesus Christ, and in the name of Mary, Our Lady
of Tahoe Catholic Community welcomes and embraces all those who come to us. With
the guidance of the Holy Spirit, through worship, the sacraments and loving service,
we provide for one another’s spiritual and material needs. In being so nourished
we reach out in faith to serve the larger community

Last week’s Catholic Question: What is Faith?
Lauren Marshall, age 13, submitted the right answer: “Faith is a gift from
God to trust in him and believe in him.” Very good, Lauren! The theological
answer: Faith is the theological virtue by which we believe what God has revealed
as it is taught by the Church.
This week’s question: How do we give proof of our faith? If you think you
know the answer, email David Harrison at TahoeDRE@att.net, or call the office
at 588-2080.

Upon this rock I will build my church… Matthew 16:18
God’s doorkeeper must not abuse his authority but care for those under
his authority…
How might I care more for those under my authority?
Paul tells us that God’s ways are often not clear to us…
What has made me most aware that God’s ways are not necessarily my ways?
Jesus demands that his disciples understand who he is.…
How would I answer Jesus’ question today?
Those who attended the Morning of Reflection given by Sister Patricia Riley, C.S.C.
received a special blessing in the way of a WAKE-UP CALL to
“Lay Ministry in the Church”! She left us with the following inspiring
quotation ~
If not me, then who?
If not now, then when?
If not here, then where?
If not for the Kingdom, for what? Rabbi Hillel - 100 B.C.
We are ALL challenged to serve the Kingdom!! Thank you, Sister Patricia!!
