OUR LADY OF TAHOE PARISH MISSION STATEMENT

As disciples of Jesus Christ, and in the name of Mary, Our Lady of Tahoe Catholic Community welcomes and embraces all those who come to us. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, through worship, the sacraments and loving service, we provide for one another’s spiritual and material needs. In being so nourished we reach out in faith to serve the larger community.

HELP NEEDED TO REMOVE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS IN THE CHURCH & HALL  on Thursday, Jan. 7th at 9:00AM. Men needed to take down tree, outside wreaths & to put back in storage.

CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES:   In Oromia, Ethiopia, drought has destroyed entire regions of crops, devastating the local agriculture industry & economy. In places like Oromia, where sustainability is based entirely on agriculture, food security is alarmingly low. At a local Catholic church in the region, hundreds of children are receiving therapeutic milk & medical treatment from Catholic Relief Services. In addition to funding the important international relief work of CRS, The Catholic Relief Services Collection supports legal & resettlement services for refugees, advocacy, & disaster/ emergency relief. When you donate to The Catholic Relief Services, you give hope. Please be generous in next week’s Collection.

EPIPHANY PRAYER
Father of light, unchanging God,
today you reveal to men of faith
the resplendent fact of the
Word made flesh.
Your light is strong,
Your love is near;
draw us beyond the limits
which this world imposes,
to the life where Your Spirit
makes all life complete.
We ask this through
Christ our Lord. Amen.

LECTORS & EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS: Please contact Bob St. Angelo as to availability for the month of January, 2010. (775) 588-1295. THANK YOU for your help.
